Plant Disease is the leading international journal for rapid reporting of research on new, emerging, and established plant diseases. The journal publishes papers that describe translational and applied research focusing on practical aspects of disease diagnosis, development, and management.ScopePapers submitted for publication in Plant Disease must report original research that provides new insights into plant disease etiology, epidemiology, and/or disease management. The research must be hypothesis-driven and present novel biological insights that enhance our understanding and/or management of plant disease. The significance of the research and its relevance to published research must be clearly stated.Intended ReadershipAgronomists, bacteriologists, biochemists, biologists, botanists, cell biologists, chemists, ecologists, entomologists, foresters, geneticists, horticulturists, microbiologists, molecular biologists, mycologists, nematologists, plant pathologists, plant physiologists, seed pathologists, soil scientists, virologists, and weed scientists.
